waiting in an alley

Connan tensed; how did so many people know that name?

"No. When was this?"

"What was what?"

"When did we have alliances?"

Chilling was convinced by his once closest alley's lack of memory. "Well, we had an alliance... you and i... you watched my back and i watched yours."

Connan stared at him, trying to forcing his mind to remember. He would not forget an ally, not unless he was losing his mind - and that wasn't something that could bear conscious thought.

"I... I can't seem to recall. What were we fighting, a gang? Why wouldn't I allow you to join Black Blood if we were allies?"

"We fought many battles Connan, some even within our self's. we've seen a lot, Connan, and it wasn't a matter of you denying my entrance into Black Blood, rather you denied my...... curse."

((ooc: ... Yeah im making up the Black Blood stuff haha as you would have guessed.))

"Curse?"

He had to remember; must.

"I was a Vampire, Connan, you were the only one who knew. Thats trust, Connan." Chilling said, trying to assist him in his battle for his memory.

Connan's discussions with Dianna, in identifying his enemy as vampires, made him wary.

"Trust... Vampires slaughtered my gang mates, so I have a blood feud with them now. But if you *were* a vampire, there must be a cure... and..."

Connan looked at him, eyes showing more desperation than he intended, but voice utterly dead, said "You, should you want to renew our alliance, you can teach me how to fight them."

Dianna had offered to do just that, but a human with the things to offer was at least an evil he knew.

"I assure you friend, I will not betray you and i will assist in the slaughter of the blood sucking scum. You had your reasons to deny me Connan in the past, though now i am so much more. Let that be known." Honest and true, he offered his old friend a hand shake.

A pause, a silence, and Connan shook his hand.

"Alright. I'm looking for survivors - I buried one hundred and thirty seven, so there have to be some. If they're alive still is another matter. The stronger our numbers, the better chance we have."

Thinking, he asked "Have you seen anyone who might be even close to the gang? I don't know how closely you ran with the others, given my lack of memory."

Chilling raised one eye brow "You go straight to the point dont you? Ah i didnt run with Vampires..... as i said im a lone wolf, and i didnt want to embrace the curse. So i dont really know anything, but what i do have is skills... you give me Vampire ill make sure he dousnt see day again." Chilling said seriously

"Forgive me if I'm direct; this is all I have to do, so I see no point in delaying. As for the others, I didn't mean vampires; I meant my gang - do you think you'd recognize any members, aside from me? That would help, I think."

The unspoken fear here was, if he'd forgotten an ally, what of his own? Could they have left his awareness as well?

A half grin, half grimace came to his face, and he said "As for your fighting prowess, I'm counting on it."

Chilling smiled "dont worry bout my fighting power, as for your gang mates, i think i could recognize a few, mabey 10 but im affraid thats all, mabey Di could.."

"I'd rather...not...need her, if there's another option. But hell, if it comes down to it, I'll ask her. Just, not yet."

"I see. So you two arnt..... close anymore?" Chilling asked, stringing words together.

"Close? When were we ever...?"

Chilling was astounded by his memory loss. "ah.... never mind."

Connan shook his head.

"Right, okay then. We need to get going - but Chilling, if you know something about me that I don't, tell me."

"Yeah...yeah sure tell him...can't have him crying now, aren't we?"

Thee smirked and then he steeped out of the shadow...

"this human has some disgusting smell on his blood...and it was interesting..."
